Offshore Productions is a full-service photo and film production company based in Playa Santa Teresa. With over a decade of professional experience, we offer location scouting and management, permitting and customs assistance, local film & camera crew, equipment rentals, casting, art department, transportation & accommodations.
LOCAL CASTING
We work closely with our clients when structuring each casting to efficiently provide a diverse range of talent custom-tailored to each project. We utilize our extensive local resources and in-house database to cast the perfect faces needed for both film and photographer. Costa Rica hosts an international community hosting a surprising amount of professional talent.
LOCATION SCOUTING
We know you’re coming to Costa Rica for the pristine beaches and lush tropical jungles, but we’ve got so much more. We offer 20 years of local knowledge and experience to help you find the perfect location from wildlife-filled national parks to modern luxury homes.
EQUIPMENT
With the help our friends in the top rental houses in San Jose we can help you source a wide variety top quality HD digital camera, audio, grip, power and lighting gear. We can also assist you to import your equipment from abroad.
TRAVEL SUPPORT
We facilitate international entry for your team, equipment, and product, and work with partners in our local domestic airlines and car services to ensure the most efficient transport to your selected location within Costa Rica.
ACCOMODATIONS
We arrange accommodations for your team and can advise on home base options per shoot location preferences.
SPECIALTY SOURCING
Being a local insider, we are able to address specific needs, and source unusual props such as animals, equipment, vehicles, etc.
WHEN TO SHOOT
Here on the central Pacific coast our “Dry season” extends from December thru March we can almost guarantee you blue skies and perfect weather. The “Green or Rainy season” can be breathtaking as well, with sunny skies in the morning and afternoon showers.
